What kind of token is BitMinutes?
BitMinutes is an ERC20 compatible token. It is different from other tokens because BitMinutes are versatile not volatile, tied to a real-world asset, the prepaid mobile phone minute. BitMinutes are transferable on a smartphone unlike any other cryptocurrency that can be used as prepaid air time or as a hand held financial tool to those with limited access to conventional banking.
How do I use BitMinutes?
BitMinutes can be used:
  • To send BitMinutes to anyone in the world with a smartphone
  • As prepaid airtime to make cell phone calls
  • As a value to convert to local currency at a Trusted Agent Network Location
  • Also BitMinutes can be mined and earn up to 12% rewards annually
  • As collateral for a micro-loan at a local Trusted Agent Network Location will be offered soon
Can I send BitMinutes to anyone in the world?
Yes, you can send to anyone who has a BitMinutes account. If the person you wish to send to does not yet have a BitMinutes account, he or she can simply go to www.bitminutes.com or download the BitMinutes app at the Google Play Store and create an account.
Is there a minimum or maximum number of BitMinutes that can be sent to another BitMinutes Wallet holder?
There is no minimum or maximum BMT that can be sent. You are limited only by the amount of BMT you hold in your wallet.
Can you tell me about third-party providers?
A third-party reseller can sell plans that show up as the provider even though the phone number isn't owned by the provider.
We are unable to topup third-party providers. We will credit back the original BMT purchase to your account.

Where is the BitMinutes App available?

The BitMinutes App is available in the Google Play Store. IOS phone owners may access the app via a desktop or laptop computer using an Android emulator such as bluestacks.com.
Is the BitMinutes App safe and protected?
Yes, the BitMinutes App is secured with Two Factor Authentication also known as 2FA when the client sets 2FA on the BitMinutes Wallet on the website. 2FA is an extra layer of security that is known as multi factor authentication that requires not only a password and username but also something that the user, and only the user, can provide to access their account on the BitMinutes app once 2FA is activated.
What do I do if my phone is lost, or stolen, or I forget my Two Factor Authentication Code?

What time zone is the BitMinutes Mobile Mining app on?
The app is on Greenwich Mean Time (GMT) and future releases will change the time on the app to phone time zones.
What do I do if I cannot log into the App?
1. The app is case-insensitive

Do I get anything if I refer friends or family who buy BitMinutes?
Yes, use your personal referral code found under the Referral Program on your BitMinutes Dashboard and you will receive bonus referral BitMinutes when your referral completes a purchase. Bonuses you receive may vary based on BitMinutes promotions and the Trusted Agent Network level you attain in program.
How do I change BitMinutes into my local currency?
BitMinutes can be transferred to anyone anywhere in the world from anyone in the world that has a smartphone. When the BitMinutes are transferred they are converted to local currency at the time of receipt to the local currency of the receiving client.

About BitMinutes Mobile Mining

What is Mobile Mining?
BitMinutes will reward up to 12% in BitMinutes that are held in a BMT wallet, tracking BitMinutes app use. When the app is running on your phone, you are mining BitMinutes.
Do I have to purchase more BitMinutes to start mining?
You need to have BitMinutes in your wallet to start Mobile Mining because it is based on the number of BitMinutes you have in your wallet. The more BitMinutes you hold, the more BitMinutes you can earn with Mobile Mining.
How do I start or turn on Mobile Mining?
You must have a BitMinutes wallet with a balance of BitMinutes. Your Mobile Mining will begin automatically when you open the app. The Mobile Mining feature is automatic! You do not have to do anything but open the app. Once you close the app, mining ceases until you open it again.
Does the amount of BitMinutes I have determine how much I can earn with Mobile Mining?
Yes, the Mobile Mining of BitMinutes is based on your current balance of BitMinutes in your BitMinutes Wallet.
Do I have to keep a BitMinutes balance in my BitMinutes wallet to participate in Mobile Mining?
Yes, your Mobile Mining is based on the number of BitMinutes you have at the time you are mining.
Can I use multiple phones on the same account for Mobile Mining of my BitMinutes?
Yes, your Mobile Mining is tracked on your BitMinutes Wallet Email address. You can only do Mobile Mining from the last logged in session. For example: You can log into the app on phone #1 and it will start your Mobile Mining session, however if you log into phone #2 it will end the session on phone #1 and start a new Mobile Mining session on phone #2.
How often are my earned BitMinutes added to my account?
BitMinutes are added every five minutes as long as the app is open on the Android Cell Phone or your Android emulator (on a desktop or laptop).
How does BitMinutes track the earned BitMinutes?
Continuous Mobile Mining is performed in a one line-item. If the line item is interrupted for any reason, for example the internet connection was lost or the app was turned off we create a new line-item to restart Mobile Mining because the line item was interrupted.
If I leave my app running in the background on my Android Cell Phone 24 X 7 X 365 I will earn BitMinutes every 5 minutes?
Yes, as long as you have a current balance of BitMinutes in your wallet and the app is not interrupted by any number of issues outside of our app that could cause Mobile Mining slow down, cause the Mobile Mining to be paused, or stopped.
What do I do if my Mobile Mining stops running?
Android devices may have mixed results on Mobile Mining. If the user's cell phone battery is low, if the user's Android cell phone is in low power mode, if there is another runaway app is open on the user's cell phone, or if the Android loses internet access and then regains access. Any number of issues that are outside our app can cause Mobile Mining slow down or cause the Mobile Mining to be paused.

Mobile Mining requires your Android app to periodically check in with our servers and have an active login session.

Reasons Mobile Mining can stop and what to do if you feel your Mobile Mining has stopped:
  1. If you lose internet connection for a while or for some networking reason, the app cannot see our servers, Mobile Mining can stop
  2. If your device goes into low-power mode or turns off internet access for background applications, Mobile Mining can stop
  3. If you log in to the website or onto the app from a different device, your login session will be transferred to the new device, and Mobile Mining can stop on the previous one.
  4. If you log out of the app, but keep it running, the app will be unable to check in with our servers and Mobile Mining can stop.

If you believe none of these things have happened, please send the transaction ID of the latest Mobile Mining session (you can find this in your Transaction History), and include the approximate time Mobile Mining stopped, including your time zone to support@bitminutes.com.
Would I lose my earned Mining BitMinutes if I move my BitMinutes to my ERC20 Wallet?
Yes, as long as you have a current balance of BitMinutes in your wallet and the app is not interrupted by any number of issues outside of our app that could cause Mobile Mining slow down, cause the Mobile Mining to be paused, or stopped.No, you will not forfeit the earned BitMinutes when you move a portion or all of your BitMinutes to an ERC20 Wallet. Mobile Mining will start over based on any remaining balance or new balance added to your BitMinutes Wallet after BitMinutes are moved to an ERC20 wallet.
WHERE DO MINED TOKENS COME FROM?
Mining guarantees continued demand for BMTs which our use case should drive the price. There is a reserve in treasury of 12% of issued tokens for mining for the clients. The mined tokens represent 12% of the issued tokens not the total treasury.

However our main business is to provide BitMinutes for use by our consumers to top up their cell phones and send BitMinutes to anyone in the world with a smartphone to download the BitMinutes App and create an account. That’s what makes BitMinutes, versatile not volatile!

Where are my tokens being moved to from my BitMinutes Wallet?
BitMinutes will be moved to the ERC20 address provided by the client. Bitminutes, Inc. will soon be adding a feature on the BitMinutes website and the BitMinutes app to allow customers to move their own tokens to any ERC20 wallet, whether a personal wallet or an exchange that accepts BMT. We will also provide an ERC20 wallet for bitminutes.com wallet holders to allow transfers back into their bitminutes.com wallet from any exchange or wallet.
Can I move my BitMinutes back to my BitMinutes Wallet to send to friends and family?
Bitminutes, Inc. will soon be adding a feature on the BitMinutes website and the BitMinutes app to allow customers to move their own tokens to any ERC20 wallet, whether a personal wallet or an exchange that accepts BMT. We will also provide an ERC20 wallet for bitminutes.com to allow transfers back into their bitminutes.com wallet.
How do I move my BitMinutes from Exchange to Exchange?
Exchanges have a "deposit funds" function/button that provides the address for you to send the tokens from your current exchange or wallet. Just go to "send" or "withdraw" on your current exchange and plug in the new exchange’s (or another person’s) address and send it to the network. Carefully read the instructions provided on your wallet for details before sending.
How long does it take to move BitMinutes to any wallet or exchange?
It could take up to thirty minutes or so based on blockchain traffic at the time of the transfer.
How much will it cost me to move my BitMinutes?
Please check with your exchange or wallet provider for specific costs and details prior to every transfer for the current rates.
Can I mine if my tokens are on an exchange?
That was the original intent in creating a special relationship with an exchange. At this time, if you move your tokens out of your BMT wallet to an exchange, mining cannot be done on those moved balances.

HOW TO VIEW TOKENS IN AN ERC20 WALLET
For your convenience here is how to view your tokens in your ERC20 Wallet.

MyEtherWallet already has another token called BMT which is not ours, and sometimes gets confused when displaying the balance of our tokens. Here is how to add our token so you can view it in MyEtherWallet:
  1. Go To: http://myetherwallet.com
  2. Select: "View Wallet Info" from the top menu
  3. Under "How would you like to access your wallet", select "View w/ Address Only"
  4. In the box, put your address and press View Balance
  5. On the right under Token Balances, How to See Your Tokens, press "Add Custom Token"
  6. For Token Contract Address put our BitMinutes contract address: 0x86c2752F8fe2C6679A942C8Ee6C785C28F42cd55
  7. Under Token Symbol, do not put BMT, put: BITMINUTES
  8. Under decimals, put: 18
  9. Press the Save button under decimals
It should now show BITMINUTES with your balance. You can send BitMinutes using the same steps to add our contract.
If you feel there is an error after checking please send an email message to support@bitminutes.com and we will investigate.
NO VALID AMOUNT ERROR = NO GAS
Please be sure to verify the ERC20 Wallet address you provided in your BitMinutes Wallet.

Next, go to etherscan.io and enter your ERC20 address. There is an ERC20 tab at the bottom. You can press that and see your BMT balance.

Then, look at the top, in Overview, and check your ETH balance. Zero (0) means you have no "GAS". GAS is the internal pricing for running a transaction or contract in ETH.

You cannot send unless you put a little bit of ETH in there, even 5-10 cents worth.
